Back from Vacation...

Vacation was good even though we did not go out of town. Here is a quick summary of what we did:

Monday: Took the family bowling. Leah had a great time and so did Tommy. I actually broke 100 on one game!

Tuesday: Had my first doctors appointment in two and a half years. Had blood drawn for cholesterol testing.

Took the family to Lakeside Nature Center. Both the kids had a blast and went crazy over the owls, snakes and turtles.

Went camping Tuesday night at Lake Jacomo. The campgrounds there suck and I would discourage anyone from ever using them.

Wednesday: Did not do much this day. Played 3v3 soccer in the KC Corporate Challenge that night.

Thursday: Took the kids to Portrait Innovations for pictures.

Friday: Went to the zoo. I had forgotten how bad the KC Zoo is. Over priced and they never have any of the concessions open. Also ridiculous that a place that is geared around conservation does not have a single recycling bin in the park.

That was my vacation. Does not sound too exciting but it was nice to be away from work and spend that much time with the family.
